Chess Events, Tournaments
The Second Arbor Classical Tournament- Feb 2020
Participants registration:
- Participation is open for all players who have valid FIDE ID, invalid or inactive ID’s will not be accepted.
- Last day for registration will be 13th of Feb 2020
- Tournament will be 9 rounds – Swiss system
- Time Control will be 61 minutes and NO Increment
- Entry fees are paid in CASH ONLY will be as per the following
- In case you wish to cancel your registration send an email to info@homeofchess.com 24 hours prior to the tournament day.
- Prizes will be awarded based on Tie Break and will not be shared
- A Player can’t be awarded more than one prize and will be awarded the higher prize.
- Winners of the tournment must be present at the closing ceremony.

The First Al Sayyah International Blitz event
Home of Chess Academy, under the patronage of UAE chess federation, has the honor of inviting you to take part in its first international blitz tournament, First Al Sayyah International Blitz chess event, which will take place in the Emirate of Dubai, UAE on the 17th of August 2018.

Champ's Challenge
Terms & Conditions:
- Pairings to be done basis Swiss manager
- No. of rounds - 9
- Time control - 5 min + 3 sec increment
- Photos taken during the event belong solely to Home of Chess FZC., and can be used for promotional purposes by Home of Chess as and when required.
- In case of any disputes, the decision made by the organizing committee will be abiding and final.
- The tournament will be held only if sufficient number of participants have appeared for the tournament.
- Home of Chess is not liable for any damages or for any miscommunications regarding the event.
- Prizes for Best female and U-16 to be given out only if the winners have met the below considerations:
- No. of victories have to be at least 4
- For U-16, the date of birth of the player cannot be after 1st August 2002
- For Female Prize, no age restrictions, and is eligible for both U-16 and best female prize

- Time control - 10 min + 5 sec increment

Ramadan Chess Challenge
Terms and Conditions: 1. Berserk Rule - All players opting for this mode, should inform the organiser before the start/pairing of the next round. - Once confirmed, the time for the player will be halved. - If the player opting for Berserk wins, he/she will get twice the points - If the player opting for Berserk loses, the opponent will be rewarded points as per his/her chosen mode of play. 2. Normal Rule - All players opting for this mode, dont have to inform the organizer, this is the default mode. - Normal time limit of 10 min + 0 sec will apply 3. All decisions by the organizers will be final 4. Once paid the registration fee will be non refundable 5. Tie- breaks - 5 level tie break system as decided by the organizers 6. Pairing will be based on Swiss system
